I was craving for Vietnamese foods when I arrived in Las Vegas for CES. I looked for the best Vietnamese restaurant around my hotel and it seems like Pho Kim Long is the highest-rated one.
The restaurant is located at 4029 W Spring Mountain Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89102 and I really recommend you to call for reservation first. When I arrived at this place, it was so crowded and I had to wait for about 20 minutes to get a table.
During the lunch, I ordered some popular Vietnamese dishes like Pho Bo (Vietnamese Beef Rice Noodle), Congee with Preserved Eggs and Ca Kho To (Vietnamese Caramelized & Braised Catfish in Clay Pot). While the congee was just average, I was really surprised with the other dishes. The restaurant was serving probably the best Pho and Catfish in the US, and I really wish I could come back to try them again. I tried a lot of Vietnamese restaurants in the US, but the foods here are closest to the authentic Vietnamese cuisine. That explains why I saw a lot of Vietnamese people here.
The only issue is that it took more 20 minutes for my orders to arrive and the waitress almost threw the Pho bowl on my table. I even saw some soup spill out on my table. That was quite a terrible service and I was fortunate not to have some of the broth on my clothes.
On the other hand, the price here is quite good. It cost me just about $40 for the whole lunch.
